DORH to crack down on spread of virus and fake news
The State Attorney's Office (DORH) called on local offices to crack down on spread of coronavirus and fake news, reported the media on Tuesday. The DORH pointed out that a significant number of citizens are ignoring instructions aimed at curbing spread of the virus as well as spreading inaccurate information about the virus, which causes unjustified fear and panic. It stressed that local offices should act immediately and called for thorough investigations, noting that spreading the virus and false alarmism are criminal offences. The DORH concluded that local offices should coordinate their activities with police and other State bodies with the aim of finding and processing transgressions.
